People need vacation time to renew and recharge themselves, but it seems Americans don’t take vacations as much as they should. When I posted an article from ABC News about the importance of vacations on Facebook, one of my friends said it was hard to truly take a vacation when you work from home and can’t afford to take a vacation. So how do you take a staycation and stay away from work?

Like the state of Texas I live in, I believe bigger is better when it comes to packing for a trip. Yes, I am a chronic overpacker. Yes, I have paid for overweight baggage. Yes, I like to pack extra clothes … just in case. Then the airlines started adding fees for everything – seats with extra leg room, food, and yes, baggage.
I’m Janice Marie Simon, The Clutter Princess. I’ve been a Professional Organizer since 2001, and I love every minute of it.
It’s gratifying to help people streamline and rediscover their lives. When I arrive at a client’s door, I can see how stressed out he or she is, but by the end of our time together, I can see how much better they feel. That makes me happy.
